W8AMZ 80M to 6M OCF Dipole Antenna Performance - Round 1.
In a previous post, I mentioned that I would post the performance of my new antenna, the W8AMZ 80M to 6M OCF Dipole. Below are plots for the first installation. In the first installation, the antenna was about 40 feet off the ground on one end, and 50 feet off the ground on the other end, over a sloping mountain terrain with poor (clay, Redwood forest floor) ground soil. The 1/3 end of the OCF dipole was on the higher end of the slope, and the 2/3 end of the dipole was on the lower end. Additionally, about 10-20 feet of the 2/3 end of the dipole was bent around the tree limb, going straight down toward the ground. The end of the dipole was about 10-15 feet off the ground. See the plots below for the performance.

After reinstalling the dipole on a tree limb that was further away, so that it didn't have the end going down over the tree limb, the performance changed. I will show the updated performance in a future post.
